Text On Screen

Text on screen can be very important, when it comes to things such as documentaries and news channels and even just down to the credits at the end of a television programme or film; as this is where the people that have helped to make the product get recognised. So for instance if you are conducting an interview than you would have the name of the person that you are interviewing come up on the screen, giving the audience more information on the person. The same with if you want to know the name of an actor after watching a film, because they did an excellent job playing their role and you want to research what other films they are in. The ending credits will tell you this and so the text on screen is very important as it gives the audience that bit more information.
