analogue vs digital

analogue and digital are two formats that film can come in analogue is working with the film reels where as digital is all on chips such as memory cards.
analogue is working in groves on the film using magnetic film that gives you the waves that we then see on the film (this being for audio) see above video for more information on this.
'In analogue technology, a wave is recorded or used in its original form. So, for example, in an analogue tape recorder, a signal is taken straight from the microphone and laid onto tape. The wave from the microphone is an analogue wave.
In digital technology, the analogue wave is sampled at some interval, and then turned into numbers that are stored in the digital device.'
