Online and Offline editing

The business of online and offline editing is all to do with the different stages of the editing process, the offline editing is the creative process where the main and final edit is created and finalised. Online editing is the last corrections, so the edits and the decisions that are made are not changes to the edits and the order of the edits, but aspects such as colour correcting and some may argue sound mixing, to make the final edits looks their best and to keep the continuity of the lighting and colours correct so that continuity is maintained.
The above video should be skipped to 3:40 for the colour correction tutorial in Adobe Premier, this shows you the difference between the shots that you have before the colour correction and how the changes effect the scenes. Giving them more depth and making them look like the could go up on a cinema screen.
