Jump Cutting

Jump cutting is a form of editing where the editor is cutting from one shot to another shot but is cutting to another subject or later on in the time of the video so it moves the narrative forward.
see above to see a few good examples of how jump cuts can affect the mood of the scenes for instance if the jump cuts are manic and cut arts of the action that you can make a scene look manic and panicky. then there's the jump cutting that is meant to look natural so that he eye thinks it is natural movement this makes the audience feel comfortable and is watchable to the eye.
