Importing Clips

At the beginning of the process you have to import your clips into Avid before you can even start editing the clips, as there is nothing for avid or any other editing system to process if it was not been given anything to work with.

To import clips into Avid, all you have to do is right click inside the designated bin that the content is going to be imported into then go down the list until you find import, click on that and then find the footage that you want to import. Highlight them and press ok or chose and then, they will start importing. However the importing stage does take a little while, so you may also want to be getting on with another task at the same time or go and get yourself a cup of tea.
