Shot variation

shot variation is a technique used in the production that uses different shots to keep the audience; not just interested but to give them information threw the shots that are shown.
for instance the opening shot of most media product is an extreme long shot that shows the location and tells the audience where the scenes they are about to see where set.
Long shots are used to focus on certain characters, to give the audience more information about the scene and what is happening and are usually used to introduce main characters. Medium shots are the next shot that is used and these are usually used when you see scenes of conversation and help the audience follow the narrative.
Another form of shot that is commonly used in a scene is a close up shot. This is commonly used in scenes that are intimate, such as in a romance scene to show the characters emotions and therefore gives the audience a better idea of what is going on in the scene.
