Creating bins

Creating bins in the editing suit is very important for your organisation, as if your rushes, sound and images are all in one folder with the best will in the world you are going to be searching forever to find the clip that you want. So it is best to make bins for different things such as have a bin for your rushes, and then even sub bins in those bins organising your rushes by scene; if you’re working on a particularly long project this will help you to no end. Then you may have a bin with sound clips and again the same thing with that having sub folders for those as well as it is very important that you use your time wisely, as in the real world before when you had to hire out editing suites you didn’t want to be wasting your time finding the clip you want, so if your bins are organised in the correct way then you should have no problem finding what you need with ease.

Above is an example of my working window with all of my bins with different bins for different things.
